Offspace: Glockengasse No 9
Offspace: Glockengasse No 9
Glockengasse 9, 1020 Wien
The offspace Glockengasse No 9 supports young curators and works together with them on emerging new art exhibitions. During CODED CULTURES a solo exhibition by Claudia Larcher will be presented: Empty Rooms is a site-specific media arts installation.

Glockengasse No 9 purposely avoids the classic offspace strategies (offspace-operator and artist working closely together), but tries to be the link between offspace operator and artist through curatorship. The intention is to give young curators the opportunity to realize ideas and concepts and to acquire experiences.

Site-Specific Video Installations: Glockengasse No9
#1: Glockengasse No 9: site-specific video animation, 3:4, Loop
#2: “Empty Rooms” in collaboration with Constantin Popp
In her exhibited video work, she extends the real space through “impossible dimensions”, using digital tools to duplicate and replicate single architectural elements, without considering the laws of physics or statics. A virtual room gets created, that outreaches the real and passes over into the imaginary domain seamlessly.
