§P¡NdLe (2009, 2010, ...)
modified nintendo ds on modified skateboard:

"Anyone who claims to know what skateboarding is "all about" is full of shit. To define it as sport, art, science, transportation, play, culture, lifestyle, or anything else is to minimize the unlimited potential within the form. Skateboarding is inherently meaningless, its lack of meaning is what allows it to be such a progressive and influential experience." (Greg Shewchuk)

§P¡NdLe is a [ project | object ] that [ combines | confuses ] skateboarding with music. The [ movement | acceleration ] of the skateboard is being transformed into sound synthesis.

The sound engine is designed to be both, trivial and non-trivial. The [ trivial | direct ] translation acts as an additional channel to your mind-body coordination while the non-trivial aspect is there to provide the skateboard with a [ memory | internal states ] of your ride. It will add up to a climax as long as the movement of the skateboard does not contain too much noise (e.g. when you fall off and the board is rotating randomly and coming to a rest after).

§P¡NdLe is designed to be as mobile as possible. The built-in Nintendo DS provides free movement up to 6 hours minimum. It can be used for stationary performances (sending sensor data to computers) as well as for completely free movement, providing the mind a different understanding of moving over city ground.
