Elsy Lahnera (Curator / Austria)
Lives and works as curator in Vienna, Austria. Since 2007 and together with Alexandra Grausam managing and artistic director of „das weisse haus“, an exhibition space for progressive young art, Vienna. Since 2008 and together with Georg Russegger managing director of O.F.F. – O-sutoria Freespace Foundation, Yokohama and Vienna. In 2008/2009 Curator-in-residence at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Main projects include: exhibition series „Space Invasion“ (2006 – ongoing, Vienna), „Into Position“ (2007, Vienna), „DISPLACE – Junge Fotografie aus Wien“ (2007, Salzburg; 2008, Bonn), „The Value Issue“ (with Jasper Sharp, Parabol Art Magazine, 2009), exhibitions at „das weisse haus“ (2007 – ongoing, Vienna) and the Academy of Fine Arts (2008/2009, Vienna), “Next Reality” (with Takahiro Kaneshima, 2009, Yokohama).
